Beyer Speed Figures ("Beyers") give a single numerical value to a horse's performance based upon the final time and the relative speed of the track. The higher the number, the better the performance. A good stakes winning horse should run Beyers around 100, champions will be in the 110-120 range. Anything over 120 is a tremendous performance.
mr murthy, 56.70 in 1000 mtrs is almost 2 seconds less than the course record. this timing is done by horses in hong kong and not in india. there fore you can sefely conclude that the 58... timing would be correct. also i am sure you refer to our sheet which is attached in this message, where it is clearly mentioned to be 58.86 hope this clears your doubt. in any case, if you have been misled by the 56.70 timing from indiarace, and have played bullet today then i am happy for you. but that would not be the correct thing to do in future. regards, rb.
